FTL – FULL TRUCKLOAD SOLUTIONS

If your freight requires the entire weight or length capacity of a trailer, or if you prefer the truck make no other stops, you need full truckload. Pricing is based on the lanes and miles traveled. The most common over-the-road trailers can hold up to 45,000 lbs. However, there are many variations in equipment and capacity.

LTL – LESS THAN TRUCKLOAD

LTL would be preferred when you’re shipping a smaller amount of freight that is too heavy or large to go by mail or parcel carrier, but is less than a full truckload. LTL shipments are typically heavier than 100 lbs., but there are times when a lighter item is simply too large to ship parcel, and shipping LTL is your best option.

PARTIAL TRUCKLOAD

Partial and full truckload shipments are priced differently than LTL shipments with rates fluctuating daily depending on market conditions. When a shipment is between 5,000 and 12,000 lbs., you may gain the advantage of a crossover between LTL and partial truckload pricing.
